TBC Transite Barrier Compound is a specially formulated encapsulant designed to seal exterior Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM), such as Industrial Fiber Cement Board (Transite®). TBC uses a high-solids blend of resins that forms a durable, flexible finish with excellent UV and mildew resistance. Ideal for both interior and exterior applications, this thermoplastic, water-based copolymer complies with all federal and state VOC regulations. TBC is Class A fire rated, offering superior protection against asbestos fibers, and can be top-coated with paint for a finished aesthetic. It is an effective solution for asbestos containment, ensuring safety and compliance in abatement projects.

• Application: Encapsulation of asbestos-containing fiber cement (Transite®)

• Coverage: 50-100 sq. ft. per gallon (depends on surface porosity and desired thickness)

• Drying Time: 1-2 hours to touch, 8-16 hours to recoat, 12-24 days for full cure

• Pressure Settings: 2500-3000 PSI for spray application

• Mixing: Can be diluted with up to 10% water, can be tinted to pastel colors
