Fiberlock- Asbestos Encapsulant – Asbestos Containment Sealant

Lag Kote is an advanced asbestos encapsulant formulated to effectively encapsulate a wide range of Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM), including spray-on fireproofing, asbestos-containing plasters, paints, transite, and asbestos-containing thermal insulation. Designed for ease of application, Lag Kote minimizes dripping, waste, and cleanup. It provides a smooth, washable, and aesthetically superior finish with excellent resistance to alkalis, UV, and rust. Tested by Battelle Laboratories for the EPA, Lag Kote meets all requirements for the effective encapsulation and removal of ACM. It can be applied to galvanized metal, wood, masonry, and other sound surfaces.

Specifications:

  • Application: Asbestos containment for thermal insulation, fireproofing, and more

  • Coverage: 125-175 sq. ft. per gallon (smooth surfaces), 75-100 sq. ft. per gallon (porous surfaces)

  • Drying Time: 1-2 hours to touch, 8-16 hours to recoat

  • Pressure Settings: 2200-2700 PSI depending on application method

  • Mixing: Dilutable with up to 10% water, can be tinted to pastel colors

Available Options:

  • Off-White – Standard color for most applications

  • Custom Tinting – Available upon request for specific project needs
